On August 22nd, 2023, a remarkable lecture titled "Global Hibakusha" was delivered at HCU (Hiroshima City University) by Prof. Robert A. Jacobs. This lecture, likely focused on the long-lasting impact of the atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, would have shed light on the experiences and struggles of survivors, known as Hibakusha, and their global significance in advocating for peace and nuclear disarmament. Following the lecture, a series of exchange activities involving HCU students and participants from the USM (presumably a university or organization) took place. These activities included a lunch meeting, a presentation by the USM students or representatives, a city tour to explore Hiroshima's history and culture, a communal dinner, and an evening of games at the Sakura Dormitory. Such engagements foster cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and friendships, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and understanding, especially in the context of Hiroshima's poignant history.
